  • We held our annual NDNComm Meeting at the University of Memphis March 23-24, 2017. For those who could not travel to Memphis, TN, you can view the archived video streams on the web. Community Outreach

  • We will host our next NDNcomm at the University of Memphis March 23-24, 2017 immediately preceding IETF 98 in Chicago. We will hold the 4th NDN Hackathon immediately following NDNcomm on 25-26 March, 2017.   • Coming up in December 2016, adjacent to IEEE Globecom 2016 at the Workshop on Information Centric Networking Solutions for Real World Applications (ICNSRA 2016) in Washington D.C., the NDN team will present a publication (listed below) as well as participate on a panel discussing “Application of ICN in Infrastructure-Free Environments: Rural Areas, Disaster Recovery, and Military Tactical Environments. Community Outreach

  • NDNComm2015: This month we hosted over 100 people from 63 institutions and 13 countries at the NDN Community Meeting (NDNComm 2015) held at the University of California at Los Angeles campus in the Little Theater, Macgowan Hall, UCLA on 28-29 September 2015. They participated in presentations, breakout discussions, posters and panels. To view the presentations, view the archived live streams linked below.   • Preceding NDNComm 2015, we held the first NDN Hackathon: 26-27 September 2015. 25 participants selected 7 projects out of 19 submissions. For a complete list of projects, and the winning project, please see http://ndncomm.github.io/

  1. The NDN Community Workshop report for NDNcomm 2014 will be available in January.
  2. This month we welcome Intel Corporation to the NDN NP Consortium. Eve Schooler whom we have enjoyed at several of our NDN meetings will act as point of contact for Intel.
  3. We plan to hold the next NDN Project Technical Retreat on 5-6 February 2015 at the University of California, San Diego. This retreat will host deep dive technical discussions with a focus on security solution development for specific environments: http://www.caida.org/workshops/ndn/1502/ (Ask Lixia if you wonder whether you should attend. The next NDNcomm meeting will be of more general interest and be held September 2015.)

Technical News

  1. The NDN Testbed has grown to 22 Nodes and 50 links. We have nodes in China, Japan, South Korea, France, Switzerland, Spain and the US. The most recent addition was Anyang University in South Korea.
