September 24-26, 2019, Macau: 6th ACM Conference on Information Centric Networking.
Conference featured 15 papers presentations, 8 posters, 4 demos, two interesting panel discussions, feature keynote by Dave Clark on “ICNs, Internets and the Future of Networking”, and three workshops. -
September 24, 2019, Macau: Tutorial on Building IoT Systems over NDN – NDN IoT Programming Platform
The tutorial gave an overview of NDN-Lite, an NDN Internet-of-Things programming platform, as well as hands-on exercises of developing simple IoT applications over such a platform.
Recordings of the tutorial are available on NDN website and NDN Youtube Channel. -
September 24, 2019, Macau: Tutorial on TouchNDN: Visual Programming of Data-Centric Video.
The tutorial explored a practical data-centric approach to low-latency video that offers interesting new capabilities for creators of media-rich experiences and applications, and introduced data-centric video concept and a specific implementation for Derivative’s TouchDesigner real-time media processing platform using NDN. -
September 23, 2019, Hong Kong: “Workshop on Touching the Future Internet – Creating Distributed Media Experiences with TouchDesigner and NDN.
During the workshop, Jeff Burke and Peter Gusev from UCLA REMAP gave insights into the use of NDN in creative media and hands-on experience of manipulating video streams using TouchNDN. -
September 7-8, 2019, Gaithersburg, 9th NDN Hackathon.
There were 9 projects, including one from remote participants. Four projects received awards under three categories. -
September 5-6, 2019, Gaithersburg, MD: NDNcomm 2019 hosted by NIST.
The two day meeting had 25 presentations and two interesting panel discussions along with a poster and demo session discussing the contributions and topics that the members of the NDN community are working on. More information and recordings of the meeting available on NDNcomm 2019 -
August, 2019 NDN project successfully participated in Google Summer of Code (GSoC) 2019 which was completed successfully with the help of the participating students, mentors, code reviewers, and NDN community. The details of the student contributions are available in NpChat and MailSync repositories.

August 19, 2019, Beijing, China: NDN Tutorial at ACM SIGCOMM 2019. The full-day tutorial aimed to provide an overview of NDN and IoT application development over NDN.

July 14-15, 2019, Santa Clara, CA: Annual Workshop for Intel/NSF ICN-WEN program.

June 17-21, 2019, Padova, Italy: Future Security Internet School where students were introduced to Data-Centric security of NDN, security and privacy analysis in Information-Centric Networking, robust and efficient dynamic adaptive streaming over ICN, and various other topics on ICN, NDN, SDN, and others.

May 24, 2019, Shanghai, China: ICC 2019 RAFNET workshop.
The workshop featured a panel discussing the past, present and future of ICN. Recording of the panel is available on NDN website. -
March 9-10, 2019, UCLA, Los Angeles, CA: 8th NDN Hackathon.
