BIO:
Jiang Liu received his B.S degree in electronics engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing, China (2005), a M.S. degree in communication and information system from Zhengzhou University, Zhengzhou, China (2009), and his Ph.D. degree in communication and information system from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Beijing, China (2012). He is currently the assistant professor in Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications.
RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Jiang Lu’s current research interests include network virtualization and future network architecture, especially NDN
and SDN.
Our lab is lead by Academician Yunjie Liu, who build the current Internet infrastructure of China since 1994. Our currently research interest is future Internet architecture, such as NDN. We have already built a lab-level NDN testbed (around 10 PCs, overlay mode) for the wireless department of HUAWEI, in order to discover the possibility of deploying NDN in EPC. We also published several paper in NDN, mainly focus on caching, routing, mobility support, and energy saving.
NDN Plans:
We have two main objectives to join the NDN testbed:
1. We want to do some experiments in the testbed for paper publishing. We currently use the ndnsim, and many reviewers want results from the realistic environment.
2. We want to develop some applications of NDN, such as a improved version of video-streaming, voice over NDN and so on. We mainly want to find an application for the college students, which could be widely used. We believe college campuses could be a great choice for new network architecture grows.
